A parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, called to make heaven and take as many people with us as possible.
RCCG Voice of Jesus is part of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, a global Pentecostal family with assemblies across more than 190 nations. Here in Denton, Texas, we are a close-knit congregation drawn from many backgrounds and united by one Lord, Jesus Christ.
We exist to lead people into a living relationship with God, to build them up through His Word, and to send them out to serve their families, their city, and the nations. From our home on N Elm Street, we open our doors to students, families, professionals, and anyone seeking hope.

To make heaven, to take as many people with us, to have a member in every family of all nations, and to accomplish this by planting churches and discipling believers.
To be a Spirit-filled community where every person encounters God, grows in faith, discovers their purpose, and is equipped to serve others in love.
Worship that honors God, the Word as our foundation, genuine fellowship, compassionate service, and a heart for prayer and evangelism.
We hold to the historic Christian faith and the doctrines of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. Tap any article to read it in full.
We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. The truths revealed in it did not have their origin with men, but with God — the Holy Spirit inspired its human authors. We therefore believe the Bible is without error, completely true, relevant, and an up-to-date book. We receive the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments as eternal, authoritative, coherent, complete, all-sufficient, and the only infallible rule of faith. Its message is intended primarily for the human race, expressed in words and terms human beings can understand, and its central theme and purpose is the salvation of man.
As revealed to us in the Bible, we believe that there is only one God, the Creator of all things visible and invisible. Only God exists forever, and in Him every creature receives life.
Jesus of Nazareth is the Christ, the Son of the living God. He came into the world to save sinners according to the Scriptures. He has existed throughout eternity as one of the persons of the Holy Trinity — the only begotten Son of God and the beloved of the Father. His coming was foretold before He came in the flesh to die for us. He was born of the Virgin Mary, conceived of the Holy Spirit, without sin. He lived a perfect life, preached the gospel of the kingdom of God, performed miracles, healed the sick, and raised the dead. He voluntarily surrendered His life to be crucified, then rose again and ascended to heaven to become our High Priest. Jesus Christ will return to establish the kingdom of God on earth and reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords with His saints forever.
The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity, sharing the same power and glory with God the Father and God the Son. He is one with the Father and the Son, to be worshipped and served. These three Persons who are one are the source of blessing to all creatures in heaven and on earth. The Holy Spirit has a great work to perform: He teaches, speaks to us, and bears witness within us; He performs the work of regeneration, and the work of sanctification in the born-again soul until it is fully sanctified. This same Holy Spirit endows believers with gifts to use for service, and empowers them in the Lord.
We believe in the Divine Trinity — one Triune God existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They are eternal in being, identical in nature, equal in power and glory, and share the same attributes and perfections.
Man (Adam) was created in the image of God, walking before Him in innocence, holiness, and purity. But by voluntary disobedience and transgression, he fell from the glory of God into the depths of sin. As a consequence, all mankind became sinners by nature, born after the fallen image of Adam. In his fallen state, man is incapable of pleasing God or having any relationship with Him — inclined toward evil, guilty, and without excuse, deserving the condemnation and judgment of a just and holy God.
Sin is an inward spiritual attitude of rebellion toward God, expressed in outward acts of disobedience. Man in his fallen state cannot approach God or save himself, and therefore needs a Savior. Jesus Christ came to save us from our sins: though without sin Himself, He took our sins upon Him, died in our place, and rose again so that we might be forgiven and receive eternal life. To appropriate this salvation we must acknowledge our sins and repent of them; believe that Christ died for us and rose again; receive the risen Christ as our personal Savior; and publicly confess Him as Lord.
Sanctification means to be set apart from sin and consecrated to God — conformed to His holiness, purity, and perfection of character. Scripture teaches that the believer has already been sanctified: not a process, but a state entered into once and for all. Perfection is the spiritual growth expected of those who have been sanctified — the total yielding of one’s life to the Holy Spirit, living the crucified life, being an overcomer, and being conformed to the image of Christ. True holiness is impossible without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit; every attempt to achieve it in the flesh ends in frustration, for flesh cannot crucify flesh.
The baptism in the Holy Spirit is a supernatural enduement with power from heaven, equipping the Christian for effective witness and service. Its initial evidence is speaking in an unknown tongue as the Spirit gives utterance — a prayer language given to the believer, understood by God though unknown to man. It enables the Christian to build up his spiritual life through direct and continual communion with God, and opens the way to a life in which both the gifts and the fruit of the Holy Spirit are manifested. In the New Testament church, this experience was considered normal for all believers.
Sickness is a direct consequence of the fall of man and his continuance in sin. Redemption dealt not only with sin but with its consequences, including sickness and disease. On the cross, Christ bore not only our sins but also our sicknesses. Healing for our bodies comes through appropriating the finished work of Christ by faith in the Word of God and through the manifestation of the gift of healing. Believers not only receive healing but may also minister healing and deliverance to others in the name of Jesus — through the laying on of hands, prayer, and the anointing with oil by believing elders of the church.
The rapture describes a future event when Jesus Christ will, in the twinkling of an eye, change all believers — living and dead — into immortality, giving them resurrected bodies and catching them up to meet the Lord in the air. The word simply means the sudden snatching of believers out of this world; the term used in Scripture is “caught up.” This event marks the beginning of the seven-year reign of the Antichrist.
This is a seven-year span of future world history under the reign of the Antichrist, following immediately after the rapture. It will be the darkest time the world has ever known — “the day of vengeance of our Lord” — when man’s cup of iniquity overflows and God brings judgment upon the earth for its rejection of His Son. During this period the people of Israel will turn to Christ and be reconciled to God through the very One they rejected.
The millennial age is a period of one thousand years in which the purpose of God is fully realized on the earth — a theocratic kingdom following the seven-year reign of the Antichrist. After the Lord Jesus Christ descends from heaven and destroys His enemies at the battle of Armageddon, He will set up His holy, worldwide government. It will be a time of peace, joy, holiness, glory, comfort, justice, and full knowledge, with the removal of the curse and of sickness.
The judgment seat of Christ is the judgment of believers. It is not a judgment of condemnation but of reward, where believers are rewarded according to their faithfulness in service to God, the quality of their Christian walk, and the use of their God-given gifts and talents.
The present earth, marred and cursed by Satan’s evil, will pass away after the Great White Throne Judgment. After the dissolution of the present heaven and earth at the end of the thousand years, God will create a new heaven and a new earth — better than anything this world has ever known. The new earth will be the glorious, eternal home of born-again believers.
The lake of fire, commonly called hell, is the final abode of Satan and of those sinners who reject Jesus as Lord and Savior. It is the place of eternal torment for the devil, his angels, and all who reject Christ as Savior.
Believing in Christ produces an inward change in our hearts; baptism in water is the outward act of obedience by which we testify to that change. By this act we identify with Christ in His burial and resurrection: separated from the old life of sin and defeat, we come out of the water to lead a new life of righteousness and victory, made possible by God’s power in us.
Restitution is the act of restoring something to its rightful owner, or giving an equivalent for loss or damage. It calls a person to pay back just debts, restore stolen or misappropriated items, uncover wrongdoing, and confess falsehood — whether or not the person wronged is aware, for God knows.
Note: Restitution that would implicate or bring harm to others requires care and God’s wisdom. In such cases, seek counsel from a faithful, experienced, and mature Christian teacher who believes and teaches the whole counsel of God.
The Lord’s Supper — consisting of the bread and the fruit of the vine — is a symbol of our sharing in the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is a memorial of His suffering and death and a proclamation of His second coming. Jesus commanded the church to observe it in remembrance of Him, and the record of the early church shows they took this command seriously.
“And all who believed were together and had all things in common” (Acts 2:44). While we celebrate the uniqueness of every member of our family, we wholeheartedly embrace six shared values that shape our life together, guide what we seek to accomplish, and unite us in fellowship.
… to glorify God …
We believe that honoring God with our very best is essential to Christian living. Through all our ministry and facilities, we strive to display excellence in all things to the glory of God, taking great care to create a worshipful environment in every area of ministry.
… by introducing Jesus Christ as Lord …
Under the commission of Jesus Christ, we exist to reach those in our neighborhoods and around the world who have yet to come to faith. Our services and ministries point toward sharing the Gospel; every service includes a public invitation to respond, and every member is challenged to share their faith daily. We also feed the poor and homeless in our community each month.
… to as many people as possible …
Every member is called to engage fully in the life of the church — to volunteer faithfully across ministries, to take part in local, national, or international missions, and to support the work of Christ financially. Through this service, members experience the fullness of our fellowship.
… and to develop them in Christian living …
We are passionate about the growth and development of individuals and families. We offer many outlets for discipleship — training, mentoring, and our House Fellowship Ministry — with classes on weekends and throughout the week to strengthen those who believe and encourage those journeying toward faith.
… using the most effective means to impact the world …
We are committed to new and innovative strategies to reach people for Christ, and to planting churches — with congregations already planted in Dallas, San Antonio, and Lubbock. As a Provincial Headquarters of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, America 1, Voice of Jesus supports and connects pastors and leaders serving Christ in other locations.
… making an eternal difference in this generation and those to come.
Beyond growth in faith, we believe in the whole development of every person and strive to be an encouraging and comforting body of believers. We exist for people — those here now and those yet to come — desiring to see individuals and families strengthened by the love shared among us.
The convictions that guide how we live, lead, and love one another as a church family.
We thirst for His presence and to know more of Him through private and public worship, the Word, and prayer.
Our leaders serve the members of the church as Christ did — selflessly, and not for profit or self-glorification.
We want to be like our Lord and Savior in all conduct — ministering with compassion under the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit, conveying the love, mercy, and power of God through the church.
We recognize in humility that all the goodness we receive from God flows from His mercy — even blessings we may regard as “rights” as His children. We therefore seek to extend that mercy to one another and to all who come under the ministry of the church.
Where parents live as examples and cultivate an environment in which the spiritual, emotional, and social growth of their children can be fully accomplished.
Where husband and wife can depend on each other to provide for one another’s spiritual, emotional, and intimate needs.
We conduct our affairs truthfully and honestly, so that the gospel of Jesus Christ suffers no reproach because of our conduct.
Where the uniqueness of being single is used to bless the church.
We agree with Scripture that all who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior belong to one body of Christ, and we seek to maintain unity with all such believers.
Our desire is to seek its good, growth, and prosperity.
We desire to do nothing in our private or public worship merely for “effect” or show.
We treat one another with respect and courtesy regardless of gender, social, or physical status, and we help members grow in grace and fully realize their God-given potential.
We seek to be generous and gracious in our speech, firm in our convictions, and chaste in our dress.
Our pastors and leaders are here to serve, shepherd, and walk alongside you.
